Google Gadgets, which made its debut back in May, allows developers to build an application or mashup that run on Google’s co-existing products Personalized Hompage (IG), Desktop, and Pages. From today they’re also coming to a blog or webpage near you: every Gadget created can now be obtained in JavaScript form and run on any webpage, blog, or ‘thing’ that accepts it (unfortunately this excludes most of the major social networks, including MySpace).

Google lancia un nuovo servizio riservato ai blog chiamato Google Blog Search Pinging Service che permette di velocizzare l'indicizzazione di ogni post inserito.La procedura da seguire è molto semplice: nel backend del proprio blog bisogna inserire l'url del servizio di ping di Google e in questo modo ogni volta che verrà inserito un nuovo post immediatamente partirà lo spider di Google per indicizzare il nuovo contenuto.
Google in questo modo vuole favorire l'indicizzazione della grande quantità di nuovi contenuti e articoli che vengono prodotti ogni giorno da un blog.
